Your recordings
Screen recording, editing, and export all happen entirely in your browser. Your video is never uploaded to our servers, and we never see or store it. If you choose to save a copy to Google Drive or Dropbox, that transfer goes directly from your browser to your own account — it never passes through us.
Live captions & transcript (opt-in)
If you turn on “Live captions & transcript” before recording, your browser's built-in speech recognition (e.g. Google's, on Chrome/Edge) processes your microphone audio to generate captions and a downloadable transcript. This is the one feature on this site where audio is sent to a third party for processing — it is off by default and only runs if you explicitly enable it.
Site analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they use — never anything about your recordings. Analytics only runs after you explicitly accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit; declining means no analytics cookies are set.
Advertising
This site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
Contact & bug reports
Messages sent through the Contact page or the Report Issue button are emailed directly to our support inbox. A bug report may include your browser type and recent client-side error messages if you opt in, but never your recording.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
